Our names are Evan Lavine and Nic Altobelli; we are
souldronemates. As two highly involved students at the University of Guelph, starting a business seemed like a natural next step for both of us. This business sprouted out of a passion for photography and film which has organically expanded to the drone platform.
Both of us have a background in business which has been the backbone of our entrepreneurial adventure. Evan studied screen arts in secondary school through the Claude Watson program. Nic has always been artistically inclined through visual art, theatre, and photography. She has nurtured and developed her interest in photography for the past 8 years in a variety of mediums.
Dronemates is committed to providing the ultimate experience for our clients. We are highly responsible team players and are also very personable and friendly. We believe our hardworking attitude matched with organization, intelligence, and reliability create an outstanding service and impressive final product.
In his post-secondary education, Evan spent two years in the Accounting program before realizing that his passion lies in geography, GIS, and environmental studies. Although his career path seemed to change quite drastically, he has discovered that the skills he learned in commerce have been incredibly helpful in launching his own business. In obtaining an Undergraduate Research position with the University’s Geography department, Evan gained valuable experience and an increasing enthusiasm for drone technology.
Similarly, Nic spent three years in Animal Biology with the Ontario Agricultural College before realizing her true passions. She successfully obtained a Degree in Biosciences, and completed a minor in Business Economics, while also working in the social justice and silviculture sectors. Holding a presidential position for several years at the Campus Chapter Habitat for Humanity helped Nic develop her managerial skills as well as get hands-on experience in construction and community service.
